 And we have reached the year 2023 with a great controversy about artificial intelligence techniques in the field of drawing, photography and simulation, a controversy centered around privacy again and the ambiguity surrounding the use of these technologies for our personal data. 

Perhaps the movie THE TAKEOVER reflected part of this umbrella when it used artificial intelligence technology in facial recognition operations to accuse an innocent person of murder, as he needed to hack the algorithms of that program in order to verify his innocence.

 This year we will witness remarkable developments in technology, but instead of focusing on technological developments individually, it is worth focusing on trends.  Artificial intelligence will continue to be of increasing importance.  

Those who are far from technology may not notice that artificial intelligence technologies have become widespread in our daily lives.  

Many of our normal activities have become available only through artificial intelligence technologies, whether those related to daily purchases, travel, entertainment, education, and others. 

 There are experts in the field who argue that AI will be as effective, if not more, than the detection of fire and electricity.  

Although artificial intelligence will negatively affect a number of jobs in the future, it will work to provide other jobs.  

Small startups and individuals will be able to produce AI-powered goods and software to bring to market.  

I've seen this recently with some startups trying to bring AI technologies into bioprocessing processes in order to produce food that is less harmful to the environment.  

In other words, the focus of artificial intelligence on the business sector will be very clear in 2023.

 Another exciting area of ​​AI would be, as I noted at the beginning of the article, synthetic content.  We are beginning to witness how artificial intelligence generates human-like images and sounds by relying on human characteristics.  Now an AI-enhanced image can answer for me without me having to say a word.  

Artificial intelligence can now, by reading facial characteristics, draw a picture and give it an identity based on that. 

There is not enough room to talk about the challenges posed by this technology, but there is a wide debate about it, especially those used by police agencies to identify criminals.  

The same technique is also used in deep fake operations.  We have seen this, whether in the right of politicians, as in the example of Putin and Zelensky, or the right of actors, as in the example of Tom Cruise.  

In the field of entertainment, we saw how a startup company called Metaphysic was able to emulate American singer Simon Cowell on the stage of America's Got Talent, which impressed the audience incredibly.

 Another trend is related to metaverse technology.  Since Mark Zuckerberg started the Metaverse path in late 2021, we have seen many businesses trying to take a step forward by searching for virtual outposts in the world of Metaverse by acquiring virtual spaces, real estate, or lands there by taking advantage of platforms already operating in this sector, such as Decentraland and ROBLOX.

 Until now, many of us do not know what immersive life will mean in the metaverse world, and how augmented reality applications will provide the feeling of this life to ordinary users. 

Originally there is a difference in the definition of Metaverse technology, Zuckerberg believes that it is all about virtual and augmented reality (VR / AR) while other competitors such as Decentraland and THE SANDBOX see it as related to the third generation of the Internet Web3.0.  

In other words, the future of the Internet will be about decentralized platforms and blockchains.  

We have seen harbingers of this appear as a result of the chaos that Twitter is exposed to, as decentralized competing companies appear on the scene, such as Mastodon, which has become the strongest competitor to the Blue Bird.

 There is nothing to prevent Metaverse from being all that was mentioned, whether it is a 3D internet, which is reflected in virtual and augmented reality, or a decentralized internet that is enhanced by blockchain technology. 

Entrepreneurs will have to challenge catch-up to get the lion's share of the first wave of this technology.  Therefore, we have seen many companies racing to acquire outposts in the virtual world to market their products, such as Forever1, or many governments that are resorting to Metaverse technology to provide their government services to citizens, and here we have the Dubai government, for example.
 The speed of transition to the world of Metaverse will be determined by the nature of the technical portals to that world.  

We will often see that these technical portals will not be confined to mobile tablets only, but will go beyond them to include new ways that enhance virtual interaction, such as headphones, smart glasses, and even tactile feedback suits that cover the entire body.

 Another trend that we will see in the near future is the Internet of Things (IoT), which is a network of connected sensors, devices, and infrastructure that collects the data we need to shape other technologies such as metaverse, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and more.  

We, the users, will feel more of this technology in 2023. The essence of the Internet of Things is to build interconnected and harmonious technological systems that are capable of interconnection. 

Our lives, whether in homes, offices, or even in public facilities, are full of smart devices. 

However, the problem we face is the communication mechanism between them, which may cause problems in performance and effectiveness.  

What IoT technology seeks is to facilitate the communication of these smart devices with each other so as to avoid communication problems and thus reach the best possible result in terms of performance and speed.
